Plex, as I understand, would work for my needs if the family wanted to view content when not at home. Also have the extra step of converting MKV to MP4 with the iTunes approach. But I've also always hated iTunes and who knows when they will pull the plug on it. I have successfully ripped a Blu-ray and put the MP4 file in iTunes library and watch them on Apple TV through the Computer app. I'm still trying to understand how not to mess up the audio during the MP4 conversion on Handbrake. I have MakeMKV for ripping and learning how to use Handbrake for the encoding to MP4. I have a lot of older Blu-ray DVD's and the redemption code was either not present or had expired and could not be redeemed on MoviesAnywhere. All devices run on the home Wifi network. We use Apple 4k TV (1st gen) as the steaming devices for our TV's at home. Any experience people have had would be appreciated.
